The premise is simple: If front-line employees and volunteers (those who come into immediate contact with the visitor) provide quality customer service to our guests (convention attendees, tourists, business travelers, sports organizations, film crews, etc.), the visitor is more likely to have a positive experience. Visitors who have a positive experience are more likely to stay longer, leave more dollars behind and return at some point in the future. They will invariably share their perceptions and positive interactions with their friends. Leave a good impression on the visitor and everyone benefits – the tourist, the hospitality industry and the local economy.
Education Services
Key objectives of the Tourism Education department are to establish and market more effective training programs as an industry sales tool; advocate the value of tourism to residence through county wide outreach programs, as well as collaborate with industry partners to create a distinct experience for visitors; all of which distinguish our community and enhance our county as a destination.
