Hi-tech meets haute cuisine for food local fete starting this Friday

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL – Visit St. Pete/Clearwater and Tampa Bay & Company have taken Dine Tampa Bay Restaurant Week high-tech.
The two-week dining festival, which starts this Friday, August 3, is offering free iPhone and Android mobile apps designed to put the year’s biggest restaurant promotion at your fingertips.
Diners can choose from a list of nearly 130 of Tampa Bay’s finest restaurants, each of which will be offering special three-course, prix-fixe menus at $25, $35 or $45.
The app offer diners the ability to search for restaurants by price, cuisine and location, allowing them to immediately find the best options around. Diners can also view the menus being offered at each of the participating restaurants, and click to book reservations directly from the app.
The free smartphone applications are available on Apple and Android mobile devices, which collectively account for more than 80 percent of the entire smartphone market, according to comScore, Inc.
In addition to mobile application, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater and Tampa Bay & Company are spreading the word about Dine Tampa Bay via promotional giveaways, online and print advertising, billboard advertising, public relations outreaches, email marketing and social media.
