Annual celebration swings into Sand Key this weekend

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (November 17, 2011) - The beach meets the Big Easy this weekend as the 21st annual Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic returns to Clearwater Beach.
Music enthusiasts can enjoy more than 25 bands and special guests as they belt out the best of jazz, swing, ragtime and more over three dazzling days.
Sheraton Sand Key and Marriott Suites on Sand Key will serve as venues for this year’s Classic.
Weekend passes granting access to performances at both hotels are available for $100. Daily passes for Friday or Sunday are $40 and $50 for Saturday, while a child or student under 23 can enter for just $10.
Bring your parasols and dancing shoes as music begins poolside at the Sheraton tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. Venues open at the Marriott at 5 p.m. and the tunes continue at both hotels past Midnight.
Performances kickoff Saturday from the Sheraton at 9:15 a.m. and the Marriott at 10 a.m., with both venues hosting live jams until 11:30 p.m.
Sunday’s action begins at 9 a.m. with the Classic coming to a close at 5 p.m. in Jake’s Place at the Sheraton. Tickets for a private concert and mixer buffet at 6 p.m. on Sunday are available for $35.
