SWIMMING IN ST. PETE

CLEARWATER, FL (April 2, 2007) –Spring is the perfect season in St. Petersburg/Clearwater-
warm, sunny days and cool evenings. It’s the perfect time to take a dip. This weekend April 5-7 at the Northshore Pool in St. Petersburg will host the Speedo Boys & Girls Clubs National
Swimming Championships. More than 350 athletes from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, MA, Clifton, NJ, Nashua, NH, Northern Westchester-Mt. Kisco, NY, Worcester, MA, Dorcester, MA, Newark, DE and Woburn, MA, will compete this weekend.
—Hosting these great kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs for the National Championships, just
adds to the litany of the outstanding sports competitions in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area,” remarked Kevin Smith Director of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Sports Commission.
The swim championships are co-hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay, the Carrollwood Village Swim Team and the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Sports Commission.
