CLEARWATER, FL (September 1, 2006) – While fall brings lower temperatures
to the north, it brings lower prices to the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. Several
area accommodations and attractions offer special discounts that help visitors
“fall” in love with Florida’s Beach. Florida residents get even more deals and a
chance to see their own state without spending a lot of gas money.

“Fall is the perfect season for a romantic getaway to our tropical island beaches,”
said Carole Ketterhagen, Executive Director of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater
Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Visitors will find a host of special events
