St.Pete/Clearwater (Jan. 28, 2016) - Tim Ramsberger has been named Deputy Director of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) of Pinellas County, Florida. Ramsberger will serve as the organization's second-in-command under VSPC Executive Director, David Downing starting Feb. 1.
Ramsberger, a native of the St. Pete/Clearwater area, has 29 years of legal and executive experience in hospitality/tourism development and entertainment and event promotion, most recently serving as president of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg for a decade before becoming VP of Andretti Sports Marketing in 2014.
A lawyer by trade, Ramsberger has held key roles in a variety of major events and organizations, including the 1994 FIFA Soccer World Cup and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, as well as a tenure opening Disney's Wide World of Sports with responsibilities for business and legal affairs and programming. His board affiliations include the Florida Sports Foundation, St. Petersburg Chamber and All Children's Hospital, as well as a three-year term on the Treasure Island City Commission. He holds a Juris Doctor and a BA in Business Administration from Florida State University and an MBA from Rollins College.

Ramsberger resides in Treasure Island with his wife Peggy and their 8-year-old daughter, and his sons Jak and Joe attend the University of Florida and University of Colorado Boulder, respectively.
