Annual event touts three days of music, 20 bands and special guests

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (November 20, 2009) – The beach meets the Big Easy this weekend as the 19th annual Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic returns to Clearwater Beach.
Enjoy 20 bands and special guests from all over the United States and Canada as they belt out the best of New Orleans jazz, swing, ragtime and more over three dazzling days.
Sheraton Sand Key and Marriott Suites on Sand Key will serve as headquarter hotels and venues for this year’s Classic.
Weekend passes granting access to all performances at both hotels are available for $100. Daily passes for Friday or Sunday are $40 and $50 for Saturday.
Daily passes for a child or student under 23 are only $10.
Music begins poolside at the Sheraton today. Venues open at the Marriott at 3:45 p.m. and the music continues at both hotels until Midnight.
Performances kickoff Saturday morning from the Sheraton at 9:30 and the Marriott at 10, with both venues hosting live jams until 11:30 p.m.
Sunday’s action begins at both hotels at 9 a.m. with the Classic coming to a close at 5 p.m. in Jake’s Place at the Sheraton. Tickets for a private mixer buffet and concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday are available for $35.
