Thousands expected to attend this weekend’s FREE landmark celebration in Clearwater’s Coachman Park

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (October 14, 2009) – Who would have thought what started as a series of concerts held on the back of a flatbed truck would turn into one of the county’s leading jazz festivals?

Celebrating its 30th year, the renowned Clearwater Jazz Holiday returns to Coachman Park this weekend, October 15-18, for four days of warm breezes, brilliant sunsets and free live jazz.

The annual festival that draws tens of thousands of doting fans has featured wildly popular acts including Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock and Kenny G.

This year’s headliner, New Orleans legends, the Neville Brothers (pictured), make their return to the Holiday after playing the show in 2004.

Al Jarreau, Chris Botti, Boney James and a stunning fireworks display should also thrill what organizers are expecting to be one of their largest turnouts ever.
