St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (October 15, 2012) - The sound of warm breezes rustling majestic palm trees won't be the only thing echoing through Clearwater this weekend.

Celebrating its 33rd year, the renowned Clearwater Jazz Holiday returns to Coachman Park, Thursday through Sunday, October 18-21, for four days of live jazz.

The annual festival that draws tens of thousands of doting fans has featured wildly popular acts including Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock and Kenny G.

This year's lineup features 15 of the jazz world's finest, including Maia Sharp, Kurt Elling and Esperanza Spalding Radio Music Society. Nine-time Grammy winner Bonnie Raitt (pictured) headlines Thursday's roster of performers, while St. Petersburg's Mindi Abair---who dazzled the local scene before recording and touring with the likes of Josh Groban, Aerosmith and Rick Braun---rocks the stage on Friday night. The Avett Brothers close the weekend down on Sunday, which also includes the Ruth Eckerd Hall/Clearwater Jazz Holiday Youth Jazz Band.

Gates open Thursday at 4:30 p.m., with "The Piano Lady" Carol Stein, kicking things off at 5 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Advanced tickets are $10, while on-site admission is $15.
