According to water samples on Tuesday tested by Pinellas County and Florida Fish & Wildlife (FWC), multiple St. Pete/Clearwater area beaches have medium to low concentrations of red tide, confirming recent reports of dead fish and mild irritation.
The medium concentrations were found at Indian Shores, Redington Shores, Redington Beach, Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach. Low concentrations were found at Treasure Island and Fort De Soto Park.
Visit St. Pete/Clearwater is in close communication with Pinellas County and FWC in an effort to communicate current beach conditions, including the presence of red tide, irritation and dead fish, daily.
