New 2016 ‘Gulf to Bay’ Starts Worldwide Distribution This Weekend

St. Pete/Clearwater (March 18, 2016) - A feature touting the winners of the annual "Best of St. Pete/Clearwater" poll, an expanded pull-out dining guide and a new and unique distribution method are just a few of the new features of the fourth edition of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater's Gulf to Bay destination magazine.

The 112-page glossy publication is making its biggest splash ever with more than 200,000 copies being distributed this Sunday via insertions in The New York Times in Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

This year's edition will also be distributed via AT&T U-verse and Comcast cable providers, whose cutting edge technologies allow their 28 million households to order a Gulf to Bay magazine with the click of a button on their TV remote.

"We continue to push Gulf to Bay to places our print product has never gone before," said VSPC Executive Director David Downing. "So we're leveraging some of the latest digital technologies---such as AT&T U-verse---to ensure we continually employ creative and effective ways to get it into the hands of potential visitors."

One of the most anticipated features is the results of this year's "Best Of" competition, an annual ranking determined by an online poll of thousands of locals and visitors. For 2016, the competition featured several new categories, including Best Scenic Drives and Best Movies Filmed in St. Pete/Clearwater, along with favorites Best Hotels, Best Grouper and Best Beach. Published in partnership with the Tampa Bay Times, this year's magazine includes work from 11 different illustrators from around the world, increased industry partner ads and a first-ever regional look with a Tampa Bay overview spread (Pages 54-55).

Gulf to Bay has been the area's replacement for the traditional visitors guide and has increased in circulation each year since 2013. It is distributed worldwide via Visit St. Pete/Clearwater's international offices, at hundreds of industry and consumer tradeshows and events and can be ordered via an online order form on

Locally, the magazine can be found at various visitors centers and kiosks, as well as at St. Pete/Clearwater and Tampa International Airports. Additional state-wide distribution will take place via insertions in The New York Times in Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach, as well as in the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Orlando Sentinel, Tampa Bay Times and West Palm Beach Post.
