St. Pete/Clearwater (March 1, 2017) - A new 12-page "Gulf Coasting" foldout beach guide, coverage on the winners of the annual  "Best of St. Pete/Clearwater," expanded culinary and craft beer sections and the largest print run ever are just a few of the new features of the 2017 edition of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater's Gulf to Bay destination magazine.

The 112-page glossy publication is making its debut this weekend with more than 220,000 copies being distributed via insertion in Sunday's New York Times in key cold-weather feeder markets throughout the Northeast and Midwest.

One of the most anticipated features is the all-new "Gulf Coasting" beach guide that unfolds within the magazine to give readers an in-depth look at all 35 miles of white sand beaches.

"We continue to evolve Gulf to Bay in ways that best capture what a dynamic and photogenic destination we have," said Visit St. Pete/Clearwater President & CEO David Downing.

"Our beaches are our calling card, so they are always truly celebrated, but we're fortunate to also have so many other aspects to celebrate---from world-class arts and culture, to burgeoning culinary and craft beer scenes, myriad sporting events, historic interests, boating, fishing and more."

Also included are the results of this year's "Best Of" competition, an annual ranking determined by an online poll of thousands of locals and visitors. For 2017, the competition features several new categories, including Best Restaurants, Best Food Trucks and Best Coffee Shops. See all the winners here.

Other sections include a spread on the "Gulp Coast," the name for the area's booming craft beer scene, and an expanded dining section segmented into restaurant themes, like waterfront, kid-friendly or entertaining, and a Top 25.

In addition to the planned distribution this weekend, state-wide distribution will take place this summer via insertions in The New York Times in Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville, Sarasota and West Palm Beach, as well as in the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Orlando Sentinel, Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Tampa Bay Times and West Palm Beach Post.
