Double-Digit Firework Displays On Tap for 4th of July

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (July 2, 2013) - From beach bashes to a hometown celebration, St. Pete/Clearwater has double-digit aerial shows that offer something for everyone.
While many destinations have a great fireworks show on the 4th, St. Pete/Clearwater gives visitors and locals a choice of 10 area firework displays that will light up the sky to celebrate America's independence. Or better yet, stake a spot near the beach or the bay and see several shows at one time. AMERICA'S PASTIME FOR FREE | Enjoy the area's two minor league baseball teams, Clearwater Threshers and Dunedin Blue Jays, for free at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin. Following the action is a fireworks show, too!
BEACH BASH IN TREASURE ISLAND | Celebrate the Fourth on the beach at Sloppy Joe's in Treasure Island from noon-9 p.m. Keep busy until fireworks at 9 p.m. with arts and craft vendors, live music and food/beer trucks.
BRIGHT HOUSE CLEARWATER CELEBRATES AMERICA | Spend the afternoon at the park. Overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway at Coachman Park, this traditional Independence Day celebration gets starts at 4 p.m. A spectacular fireworks show over the waterfront follows at 9:30 p.m. This all-American family event includes children's activities, food and beverages for purchase and exhibitor and sponsor booths for browsing.
FIREWORKS AT ST. PETE BEACH | If you're looking for some peace and quiet with your feet in the sand, head to the No. 1 beach destination in the country and relax before the bright colors paint the sky over the Gulf of Mexico at dusk.
FREEDOM RINGS IN ST. PETE | Hit St. Pete's beautiful waterfront to enjoy fireworks over Tampa Bay. Fireworks are set to begin at 9 p.m. so make sure you get to prime viewing spots at Vinoy Park, Albert Whitted Airport or North Straub Park early!
GET TO GULFPORT | Enjoy a real home-town Fourth of July in the quaint city of Gulfport. Start the day with an old-fashioned fishing derby at 8 a.m. at the marina, followed by a full day of family-friendly activities, including a funky car show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Throughout the day, a diverse variety of vendors line up along Beach and Shore Boulevards. Live music fills the air. Cap that off with a fabulous fireworks display off the pier at 9 p.m.
LARGO 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION | Hit Largo Central Park starting at 6 p.m. with live music leading up to the 9:15 p.m. fireworks show. This family-friendly Independence Day celebration features kids' activities and food. $5 parking is available on site.
PARTY IN MADEIRA BEACH | Hit up Madeira Beach for a day filled with live music, drinks & games followed by an aerial display.
PATRIOTIC TARPON SPRINGS | Kick the day off with a patriotic picnic in the park at Craig Park, featuring live music and family activities, like cherry seed spitting and sack races, and free hotdogs, popcorn and drinks. Cap the night with fireworks at dusk with the best viewing from Howard Park Beach.
SAFETY HARBOR JULY FOURTH | Main Street fills with a patriotic parade starting at 10 a.m. Starting at 5 p.m. the evening entertainment begins with live music, food vendors and a family play area. Fireworks light the sky at 9 p.m. at the marina.
