St.Pete/Clearwater (March 16, 2015) - St. Pete/Clearwater will be flying around some of the biggest speedways in the world this summer on the hood of local 18-year-old Ethan Low's professional race car.

In a first-of its kind sponsorship, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater is tapping into one of the fastest rising stars in racing. Low, who's a senior at Clearwater High School, will be racing the No. 31 Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman on the IMSA Continental Tire Series at 10 tracks around the country, including some of the area's biggest feeder markets, like New York and Toronto.

In addition to the on-track exposure, all of the races are broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports 1 and 2, which is available in more than 36 million homes nationwide.

"This is a win-win for us," said David Downing, VSPC's Executive Director. "We're supporting the career of Ethan, who's from our area, while reaching some of our most important tourism markets in North America. We're proud to have him promote our 'Live Amplified' brand because he really does."

Low's entering his rookie season of professional racing after racking up 18 podium finishes, including eight wins, over the past few years on different circuits. His career was fast tracked back in 2012 when he was one of 22 drivers worldwide invited to the prestigious Skip Barber Shootout, where he received schooling on the business of professional racing.

"I couldn't ask for a better sponsor than my hometown Visit St. Pete/Clearwater," Low said. "I'm fortunate to have their support so I can race a full professional season this year."
